"We saw Noelle (a.k.a. Loaf) on the Dubuque Regional Humane Society Facebook page on December 5, 2023. We lost Lexi, our longtime family dog in March and really were not yet looking for a new dog. However, when we saw the Facebook page we decided we should take a look at Noelle. We were lucky enough to be first in line when the DRHS opened on December 6. Once in the room with Noelle, we knew we definitely wanted to adopt her and take her home with us. We coincidentally named her Noelle as we wanted a Christmas name, not even realizing that the Director of the Humane Society‘s name was also Noelle.
"Noelle has been the best dog from the first day we brought her home and she adapted very well to our home. She is definitely a lapdog and loves to snuggle and would let you pet her all day long if we were able to. We are an active family and she loves to go on long walks on the Heritage trail with us (chase squirrels), hikes in her backpack, rides in her little buggy behind our bikes, and camping. Most of all she just loves to be outside! We definitely hit the jackpot by adopting Noelle. She is the sweetest and best dog and has been a great addition to our family. We love her very much and will continue to give her the best life that she deserves!!" - The Burds Family
