"2 years ago, I walked into the Dubuque Regional Humane Society thinking I wanted a kitten to brighten up my days. I recently just moved into my first apartment and when I asked, they said none (kittens) were available at the moment. The worker pointed at the cage behind me and said “that one sure likes you…”. As I turned around, I was stricken by a 20lb cat with blue eyes. I adopted him immediately and was so excited to take him home. Chester has made my life so much better and is the light of my days. He loves catnip, sunbathing on his back with his brother, and eating my food. I can not thank the DRHS enough for helping me find my best fur-legged friend!" - Bailey D.
