FOSTER
PORTAL

Please use the clinic button to schedule appointments for vaccinations, boosters, and other preventative care. Foster parents are responsible for tracking these needs and scheduling appointments.

Note: A licensed veterinarian may not be available during these appointment times. If you feel a veterinarian is required, please contact the foster coordinator at foster@dbqhumane.org.

For booster timelines and additional guidance, see the resource link below.

Please use the coordinator button to schedule appointments with the foster coordinator. These appointments may include onboarding one-on-ones, animal meet and greets, animal pick-ups or drop-offs, supply needs, training, and more.

Not sure if you should schedule a meeting? Contact the foster coordinator at foster@dbqhumane.org.

Emergency Line: 563-279-4745

Please use the Foster Dog Suite button to schedule time in the designated Canine Adoption Suite during public walk-in hours. At this time, only one dog per day is approved unless additional approval is granted by the Foster Coordinator. Appointment slots are listed in one-hour increments; however, foster caregivers may stay for 1–4 hours.

Foster caregivers may either drop off the dog or remain for the duration of the appointment to speak with potential adopters.

Foster approval is required prior to scheduling.

After hours? Unsure if it is a true emergency? Contact Doobert for 24/7 support using the info above.

Note: If you know it is an emergency, skip Doobert and call the emergency line 563-279-4745. If you are confident it can wait, email or slack the foster coordinator instead.

All active fosters should complete the weekly Check-In form using the link above. These updates help us stay on the same page and respond to questions or concerns more efficiently.
