SUMMER CAMPS
COMPASSION ACCOUNTABILITY RESPECT EXCELLENCE
This summer, count on the Dubuque Regional Humane Society (DRHS) to safely provide students of all ages with new ideas on animal careers, care, safety, exercise and enrichment. Our Animal C.A.R.E. Summer Programs offer engaging humane education curriculum, building capable, successful learners filled with knowledge, self-determination, and empathy towards all things, living and non-living.
C.A.R.E. Day Camp

The perfect opportunity for kids entering Grades 1 - 8 who have a passion for animals!
Our one-day C.A.R.E. camp provides school-aged kids with a unique learning experience to foster and grow their love for animals of all shapes and sizes! Students will learn about basic animal care, safety, exercise and enrichment. Students will work together learning cooperation strategies during character building games, crafts, and of course, animal socialization.
Cost: $50 (includes box lunch and supplies used)
Grades 1 - 4 dates (Fridays):

Vet Shadow Day
The perfect opportunity for young adults entering
Grades 6 - 12 interested in veterinary medicine!
Vet Shadow provides students with a unique learning experience, shining a light on what it takes to be a licensed veterinarian or veterinarian technician. Not for the faint of heart, this session dives deep into the career of veterinary medicine as campers will learn about animal ailments, assist during exams and laboratory diagnostics and will even observe surgeries performed by our on-staff veterinarian.
Cost: $80 (includes box lunch and supplies used)
