Head Start Program

Head Start is a program where our certified volunteer trainers teach basic manners to hand-selected shelter dogs. This program enables our shelter dogs to become more adoptable and better all-around companion animals. If you would like to become one of our Head Start volunteer dog trainers, no prior experience is required. Just contact Ann Lorenz, Community Outreach Coordinator at ann@dbqhumane.org, or give her a call at 563-582-6766.
