Community Programs
Pet Therapy Animals are natural pet therapy ambassadors and the DRHS reaches out to our community through pet therapy visits to area nursing homes and care facilities in the tri-state area. Currently, the DRHS visits 14 facilities: Manor Care, Stone Hill, Heritage Manor, Saint Dominics Villa, Bethany Home, Sunset Park, Area Residential Care, Enobel Manor, Oak Park Place, Sunny Crest, Cozy Corner, Alverno, Hills and Dales, Julien Care Facility. PAWmobile Adoptions The DRHS goes to varies locations in the community to speak with the public about our shelter and show animals that are currently available for adoption. Any animals that are at the PAWmobile Adoption site can be adopted on spot. To set up a PAWmobile event contact Tara at tara@dbqhumane.org or call 563-582-6766. |
