Meet the Staff
Katie Title: Kennel Technician Bio: Katie joined our kennel tech team in November of 2005. She has a dog named Hunter, three cats, and a Arabian/Appaloosa horse who rides in endurance.

Fred Title: Kennel Technician Bio: Fritz joined the staff in March of 2001. He has two dogs named Zack and Mack.

Jessi Title: Vet Technician Bio: Jessi joined the staff in the summer of 2004. She is pictured here with her shelter adoptee Bugsy. She also has a cat named Sneakers, Chong the rabbit, one hamster, along with a cat named Lefty and another shelter dog rescue named Lilly.

Alexx Title: Foster Coordinator/Kennel Tech Bio: Alexx has been with the shelter staff since 2003. She has a dog named Delilah and a cat named Milton.

Nick Title: Office Manager Bio: You'll typically find Nick in the front office. He rejoined the staff after serving with the National Guard in Egypt. He adopted a Beagle named Sadie and a Basset Hound named Maxwell.

Jayne Title: Kennel Technician Bio: Jayne joined the DRHS staff in the fall of 2005. She was previously a very active volunteer for the shelter.

Melody Title: Companion Animal Specialist Bio: Melody has been with the shelter since May of 2007. Her main passions are ethics and rehabilitating animals.She is a trainer at the shelter and has a Lab mix named Daboo and a Rott mix named Lennier, as well as ZugZug the cat.

Jennifer Title: Kennel Technician Bio: Jen started working at the shelter in August of 2007 and is primarily at our Mall Center. She has a daughter and three dogs named Bernice, MJ, and Gypsy.

Aimee D Title: Kennel Technician Bio: Aimee joined the team in October of 2008. Her menagerie of pets includes horses, dogs, cats and a bearded dragon! She is also a farrier.

Dick Hess Title: Maintenance Guru!! Bio: Dick (aka Corky) Hess is our go-to fix it guy!

Ann Lorenz Title: Community Outreach Bio: Ann joined the shelter staff in 2003. She has three Tibetan Spaniels - Tia, Wrigley, and Cubby, along with a cat and 5 birds.

Tara M Title: Kennel Technician Bio: Tara is a Loras College student majoring public relations. She has a Beagle/Pom mix dog named Jada.

Jane McCall Title: President/CEO Bio: Jane McCall is the President and CEO and has been at the shelter for 17+ years.

Pete Murphy Title: Cruelty Investigator/Kennel Manager/Dog Trainer Bio: Pete is the Kennel Manager/Cruelty Investigator/Dog Trainer for the shelter. He has two dogs, Shadow and Jeb, and a cat that he adopted from the shelter. He is a graduate of the National K-9 School for Dog Trainers, Columbus, Ohio.

Kristina R Title: Customer Service Rep Bio: Kristina joined the shelter team in July of 2009. She originally hails from Kentucky. Her pets include George the Basset, a DRHS alum, and a Lhasa named Mason.

Marnie Robbins Title: Administrative/Events Coordinator Bio: Marnie joined the staff in June 2009. Marnie has her beloved dog, Baleigh and cat, Kitty

Sheila Schneider Title: Volunteer/Head Start Coach Bio: Sheila is the DRHS's Head Start training coach. She trains volunteers to work with our Head Start dogs in training to teach them basic commands!
